A little bit about me

I am 65 years old. I have been married to the most wonderful woman for 19 years now. I live in Connecticut.

My passion is Aviation and everything to do with it.

My knowledge of aviation is extensive (but I don’t know everything and I am learning more every day). I subscribe to Air & Space Smithsonian Magazine (and numerous others over the years) and I have become a member of the American Aviation Historical Society (AAHS) per Bill Yenne’s suggestion.

I have been to the following museum’s and they are incredible:

Air Force Museum (National Museum of the United States Air Force) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio.

National Air & Space Museum in Washington, D.C. – twice.

National Air & Space Museum – Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center.

San Diego Air & Space Museum

New England Air Museum here in Connecticut.

Manston RAF Museum (RAF Manston History Museum) in Kent, England.

Glenn H. Curtiss Aviation Museum in Hammondsport, New York

Cradle of Aviation Museum in Garden City on Long Island

Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome in Red Hook, New York

Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum in McMinnville, Oregon

There are many more I would like to see.

And of course I have seen the Air Force Thunderberbirds and Navy Blue Angels Flight Demonstration Teams at Air Shows. I have been to Otis Air Force Base in Cape Cod, Massachusetts (when I was younger and in the Civil Air Patrol) and to Homestead Air Force Base in Florida. I have also been to the Air Force Academy in Colorado (not as a student – but I did try twice to become one).

My library at home has a fairly large collection of aviation related books (but not as big as the aviation author Jay Miller’s collection!).

My oldest son is a Master Sergeant serving in the U.S. Air Force.
